How Can Your Store Participate in International TableTop Day?

Excellent Question!

I'm here to help you find out.

1. Have you registered your store as a TableTop Day event center?
Yes, you say? Excellent! No, You haven't? Then check out the easy instructions to do so below!
  1. Go to TabletopDay.com
  2. Create a new event by going to the event tab or click on the “create one” button on the home page
  3. Select “business/retail event”
  4. Fill in the retailer information section completely
  5. Fill in the event information section completely
2. Order a Geek & Sundry TableTop Day Launch Kit only through Alliance! 
There are two kits to choose from, they are in production and will be ready the week of TableTop Day.

Each kit comes with an amazing marketing kit for your store; posters, 20 save the date cards, a window cling, 12 "As Seen on TableTop" shelf talkers, and great game giveaways* (listed below). The Premium Kits include more promotional value for the retail store; they will be hosted on the TableTop Day website as a Premium game store, will have their event live-streamed to Geek & Sundry, and receive a backlit Geek and Sundry sign!

3. Download free web ads for your store's website! 
Head over to tabletopday.com and hit the Downloads tab at the top and start promoting! The web advertisements come in the following formats: 200x200, 300x600, 520x260, 120x240 and 300x250 pixels. 

4. Bag Stuffers: Print and make your own copies of the TableTop Day flyer
You can make your own flyers or print out a graphic from tabletopday.com under the Downloads tab at the top! Place 2, 4, maybe even 6 on a page, but be sure to make enough copies to cut out and add into the bags your customers walk out with!

5. Does you store have a Facebook page?
If you do, then make an event and invite all of your followers!

Demos...Calling All Demos!


Alliance Game Distributors has carried many demo programs, provided by our manufactures, throughout the company’s history. The importance of having demo games in your retail store is so critical, especially when so many customers want a true feel for the game before purchasing. We totally understand and we want to support their purchasing curiosity.

Before we go over what demo’s Alliance is currently carrying, let’s looks over…

Benefits of In-Store Demoing

  • Allows customers to test or try the game before purchasing
  • Stimulated buyer’s purchasing decision
  • Increase customer’s desire to own the game after demoing
  • Easier selling situation for Retailer when demoing
  • Retailer opportunities for up-sale or added product suggestions
  • Increase sales during open gaming nights
  • Increase in-store play (Increase game’s interest when other customers playing in-store)
  • Psychologically, putting something tangible in your customers hands may increase their desire to own the product

NY Toy Fair 2013!

New York Toy Fair 2013 Countdown Begins!

Alliance will be attending the 2013 Toy Fair convention hosted by the Toy Industry Association (TIA). This year is the convention's 110th year of exhibition. Toy Fair takes place from Sunday February 10th to Wednesday February 13th.  Toy Fair is hosted at the Jacob K. Convention Center in Manhattan, located at 11th Ave between 34th and 38th Streets. 

Alliance expects to make a great impression this year at Toy Fair. Each year our industry has become better and better and we enjoy the opportunity to exhibit at conventions to grow the industry even more. We plan to tell retailers about the type of amazing products we carry! Everyone needs a little Settlers of Catan or Ticket to Ride in their life...I mean, stores.

If you plan to attend Toy Fair this weekend, please stop by the Alliance booth and say hello! We are booth number 6017 this year. Zvesda, Gamewick, Day of Wonder, Yanagita Designs, and Modern Myths will be at our booth as well! 

I hope to blog about my experience as a first-time exhibitor while at the event! With over 1,000+ exhibitors and 25,000+ attendees, I'm confident I will have lots to share!
